Frank Fischer was born in 1974 in Zurich, Switzerland, lives and works in The Hague, The Netherlands, and holds a Master’s degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.

The paintings are made by pouring industrial lacquer directly onto an aluminum plate.

Unlike the expressionist works of Jackson Pollock, they are produced by a systematic and highly formalized method. In contrast to the smooth and clinically ordered surfaces, only the small dried drops at the base of the painting, similar to stalactites, bear witness to the creative process.

Frank Fischer est né en 1974 à Zurich en Suisse, il vit et travaille à La Haye aux Pays-bas et est diplômé d’un Master du Chelsea College of Art and Design à Londres.

Les tableaux sont réalisés en répandant de la laque industrielle versée directement sur une plaque d’aluminium.

Contrairement aux travaux expressionnistes de Jackson Pollock, ils sont produits par une méthode systématique et hautement formalisée. Face à ces surfaces lisses et cliniquement ordonnées, seules les petites gouttes séchées à la base du tableau, semblables à des stalactites, témoignent du processus de création.
