Creation process
For several years, Géraldine Wilcke has been conducting research on architecture and our perception of reality. Through photography, sculpture, and installation, she explores how light shapes volumes, reveals invisible spaces, and transforms our relationship with places. Géraldine Wilcke tracks shadows as she wanders through urban and rural landscapes, using her camera as an extension of her eye and her memory.
It is a true exploration of the shadows cast by the architectural elements that surround them. In her work, shadow is not viewed as a secondary phenomenon but as a structural element in its own right. With her “Architectures of Shadow,” Géraldine Wilcke has developed a unique artistic approach at the intersection of architecture, sculpture, installation, light art, and photography.
